Comforter Cover Hack: Traditional, Burrito, and Two-Person Methods!
From solo tricks to two-person hacks, here’s how to change covers like a pro!
Hey moms, putting a comforter into a cover can feel tricky, but with a few techniques, you’ll handle it like a pro! the three popular methods: the traditional, the California roll (or burrito), and the two-person method.
Each approach has unique benefits—try them out to see which fits your routine best.
1. The Traditional Method
A straightforward approach that requires just one person:
Lay the Comforter Flat: Spread the comforter flat on your bed.
Turn the Cover Inside Out: Place it on the comforter, with the opening at the foot of the bed.
Flip the Cover: Insert your hands into the cover's corners, grab the comforter, and flip the cover over.
Secure and Fluff: Zip, button, or tie the cover's opening, then fluff the comforter to distribute it evenly.
2. The California Roll (Burrito) Method
Perfect for a neat, easy roll-in method:
Turn the Cover Inside Out: Lay it on the bed with the opening at the foot.
Align the Comforter and Cover: Spread the comforter on top of the cover, aligning corners.
Roll Together: Starting at the head of the bed, tightly roll the comforter and cover like a burrito.
Stuff the Ends: Pull the cover over the ends of the roll.
Unroll and Fluff: Unroll the comforter, shake, and smooth it out
3. The Two-Person Method
Best with a helping hand:
One Holds the Cover Open: One person holds the cover open at the bed’s foot.
Align and Insert: The second person aligns and inserts the comforter.
Secure the Corners: Both secure the comforter’s top corners inside the cover.
Shake Down: Holding the corners, shake the cover down over the comforter.
Close and Fluff: Zip or button the cover and give it a final fluff.
Each method simplifies the cover-on process without the stress. The traditional method is simple for solo changers, the California roll is quick and tidy, and the two-person method is ideal for larger comforters.
By mastering these techniques, you’ll keep your comforter clean, stylish, and easy to change.
